Gaza Emergency Relief Project
Since 7 October 2023
The Gaza Emergency Relief Project has been active since 7 October 2023, responding to one of the most severe and prolonged humanitarian crises in recent history. Continuous bombardment, mass displacement, and restricted access to essential goods have left millions struggling to survive without adequate food, shelter, clean water, or medical care.
Hospitals remain overwhelmed, fuel shortages threaten life-saving medical services, and families — many displaced multiple times — continue to live in overcrowded and unsafe conditions with limited access to basic necessities.
“And whoever saves one life – it is as if he had saved all of mankind.”
Qur’an – Surah Al-Ma’idah (5:32)
Our Emergency Response
From the earliest days of the crisis, IAC teams and partners on the ground have worked continuously under extremely dangerous conditions to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to affected communities across Gaza.
Our response has evolved to address both immediate emergency needs and longer-term survival challenges faced by displaced families.
Food Parcel Distribution Across Gaza
As part of the ongoing emergency response, thousands of food packages were distributed to vulnerable families across both Northern and Southern Gaza.
With widespread displacement, destruction of infrastructure, and severe shortages of food supplies, many families were left struggling to secure even basic daily meals. Through coordinated field operations and local partnerships, food parcels containing essential staples were delivered to displaced households, helping families survive under extremely difficult conditions.
The distributions focused on reaching:
Each food package was carefully prepared to provide essential nutritional support and sustain families for extended periods during the crisis.
Despite the immense logistical and security challenges, aid teams continued delivering food assistance across multiple regions of Gaza to ensure support reached those most in need.
Healthcare & Hospital Support
The collapse of the healthcare system and the overwhelming number of injuries created an urgent need for continuous medical support.
Our teams have worked over the past two years to:
Fuel has become one of the most critical needs in Gaza. Due to restrictions and extremely high costs, maintaining hospital operations became increasingly difficult. Through ongoing support, fuel deliveries helped keep essential services functioning, including:
Street Clearing & Humanitarian Access
As destruction spread across residential areas, damaged roads and debris made movement extremely difficult for civilians, ambulances, and aid delivery teams.
To support affected communities, we became involved in the use of bulldozers and heavy equipment to clear streets and remove debris, helping:
This intervention played an important role in restoring basic mobility and improving humanitarian access in severely affected areas.
Food Security & Daily Hot Meals
Food insecurity has reached catastrophic levels in Gaza, with countless families unable to cook or access basic food supplies.
In response, we established and supported multiple humanitarian kitchens in North Gaza and Middle Gaza, providing freshly prepared meals on a daily basis to displaced and vulnerable families.
Our food response includes:
Daily Kitchen Operations
Our field kitchens continue operating daily under extremely difficult conditions to ensure families receive warm meals despite shortages of fuel, food supplies, and safe cooking spaces.
Cost per hot meal pack: USD 7.12
Ramadan Iftar Gatherings
During the holy month of Ramadan, large-scale Iftar gatherings were organized for displaced and vulnerable communities across Gaza.
Hundreds of fasting individuals and families were provided with warm meals in communal gatherings that helped restore a sense of dignity, unity, and hope during an incredibly difficult period.
These gatherings served not only as food assistance, but also as moments of emotional and spiritual support for families enduring war and displacement.
Shelter & Winter Protection
With massive displacement across Gaza, thousands of families were left without safe shelter.
To address urgent shelter needs, we distributed hundreds of specially designed humanitarian tents to displaced families. These tents were selected specifically to:

Priority was given to:
Clean Water Supply
Access to clean drinking water remains one of the most urgent humanitarian challenges in Gaza, especially in northern areas where infrastructure has been heavily damaged.
To support affected communities, we supplied clean drinking water to thousands of families in North Gaza who lacked access to safe water sources.
This intervention helped reduce risks associated with:
Water distribution became a critical lifeline for families struggling to survive amid collapsing infrastructure.
Cash Assistance Programs
Many displaced families lost their homes, livelihoods, and sources of income. To help families meet urgent daily needs, we implemented multiple cash assistance initiatives.
Support included:
Cash Assistance Achievements
These programs enabled families to purchase food, medicine, transportation, and other urgent necessities with dignity and flexibility.
Eid al-Adha Support – Corned Beef Distribution
Due to restrictions preventing the entry of live Qurbani animals into Gaza, many vulnerable families were unable to benefit from traditional Udhiya distributions during Eid al-Adha.
To ensure families could still experience the blessings of Eid, we distributed thousands of canned corned beef packages to displaced and impoverished households across Gaza.
This initiative helped provide:

Our Team on the Ground
Despite constant danger and extremely difficult conditions, our teams on the ground continued working 24 hours a day to ensure aid reached those who needed it most.
